My Version of this recipe.
I learned this recipe when I think I was in High school. :) And that was 10 years ago! (or more...) :D
So here I'll share with you guys my version of Mango Float.
First, here are the ingredients:
2 box (250 ml) Nestle All Purpose Cream (Php 42-44/each box)
1 small can of (200ml) Condensed Milk (Php 22-28)
1 200 grams Graham (crushed) (Php 29)
2 big size Mangoes (ripe) (Php50/half kilo)
(price as of September 2013 at Puregold)
If you don't like it to be too sweet, this is the right recipe for you! :)
You can use other kind of biscuits here. Before, we used to buy the Sunflower Crackers (Plain), then you just manually do the crushing. :) But for the easy and fastest way, Crushed Graham is available in almost all of the supermarkets.
First, in a bowl, Pour in 2 box of All purpose cream and Add the Condensed Milk. Mix it well then put it in the chiller. We need to put this in the chiller to thicken the cream.
Here's the All Purpose Cream |
Condensed Milk |
While the Cream is in the chiller, next is for you to prepare the mangoes.
The easiest and fastest way to peel the mango is by using a glass. Here's how I did it.
tada! |
Slice the mangoes in thin strips.
When you're done slicing the mangoes, and the cream is thick enough, get your choice of bowl/Pyrex/Tupperware/Glass baking dish where you want to put it in.
Now assemble the ingredients.
First Layer: Graham |
First Layer is the crushed graham. To flatten the surface of the crushed graham and evenly distribute it, i used an aluminum foil.
Second layer, put in the cream.
Second Layer: Cream |
Third Layer is the sliced Mangoes.
Third Layer: Mangoes |
And Next layer will be the Cream again.
Then repeat the First layer of graham, cream, mangoes, and cream. Just repeat the process until you reached the almost top part of your bowl/Pyrex/glass baking dish that you used.
And finally, let it stay in the freezer overnight for best and tasty result! :)
Here's the finished product.
I think this recipe is enough for 4 to 5 persons.
Enjoy eating!♥
Healthy Reminder: Eat Mangoes in moderation. :)
