TASTE TEST! Tapsilog Centrale

U.S. Angus Beef Tapa

We Filipinos are very familiar with the "silog" meal right?! If ever you haven't eaten any "silog" meal,, ANYARE Kuya at Te?! Taga Pilipinas ka ba?!

"TAPSILOG" is from the combined word of TAPa, SInangag na Kanin and ItLOG.. It is a traditional Filipino Breakfast Dish. If you want to try a "sosyal" tapsilog meal, well, better try this one!
Tapsilog Centrale is known for their affordable U.S Angus Beef Tapa and they also have the Wagyu Beef - silog!

I remember, my sister was the one who told me she dine here already. So now, it's my turn to check this out and here's our verdict!

I ordered their Original US Angus Beef Tapa. The price as of October 15, 2013: Php 138..
My plate: Original US Angus Beef Tapsilog
Boyfie's Plate: Spicy US Angus Beef Tapsilog.
By looking at it, akala ko mabibitin ang tyan ko, that there's a need to order for a dessert.. Pero don't be fooled! Mabigat sya sa tyan! But if you have this really big appetite, then go and try their desserts! Then tell me kung ano masarap! :)

Our drinks: Php 50/each
For the taste, it has this salty sweet taste, and that's what I want. On my boyfriend's plate, it's really spicy! You can really taste the "sili".. Only thing is, di masyado malambot ung beef. Kinulang ng lambot. Pero di naman yung nakakangawit nguyain.

So far it's the best tapsilog I've tasted.. If I'll be craving for a tapsilog and pass through this area, I'll go dine again and will try their Wagyu beef-silog. Their Sausages looks enticing too!The best thing about this tapsilog is the price, It's Angus beef guys!

Pagbalik namin dito, I'll definitely try their desserts na!

For our bill, we paid, Php 401. Price is already good for two persons eating with drinks.

They are located at 11th Jamboree cor. Kamuning Road, infront of Alfred's Motor Shop

If you want to try this place out, here's how we made it here.

From Edsa Paramount, sumakay kami ng jeep going to Quiapo. We told the driver na sa may kanto lang kami, bago mag Puregold sa tapat ng Timog Ave. Pagbaba, tumawid kami sa Footbridge going to Timog, then ride a jeep again bound to Project 2 & 3.. Tell the driver to drop you off sa 11th Jamboree. Pagbaba nyo ng jeep, nasa kanto lang sya. Di kayo maliligaw. You'll pay the minimum fare sa jeep which is Php 8/each person.

Kung may sasakyan, kung galing ka ng sm north, drive along edsa, then turn right to Kamuning Rd. Then sa right side of the road, look for 11th Jamboree. Turn right pag nakita mo na yung 11th Jamboree.

That's it for my Taste Test Review! Till next time! :) Try out Tapsilog Centrale when you're around the area. Thanks for reading!

God Bless everyone! ♥

Mango Float Recipe

My Version of this recipe.

I learned this recipe when I think I was in High school. :) And that was 10 years ago! (or more...) :D

So here I'll share with you guys my version of Mango Float.

First, here are the ingredients:

2 box (250 ml)               Nestle All Purpose Cream (Php 42-44/each box)
1 small can of (200ml)  Condensed Milk (Php 22-28)
1 200 grams                   Graham (crushed) (Php 29)
2 big size                        Mangoes (ripe) (Php50/half kilo)
(price as of September 2013 at Puregold)

If you don't like it to be too sweet, this is the right recipe for you! :)
You can use other kind of biscuits here. Before, we used to buy the Sunflower Crackers (Plain), then you just manually do the crushing. :) But for the easy and fastest way, Crushed Graham is available in almost all of the supermarkets.

First, in a bowl, Pour in 2 box of All purpose cream and Add the Condensed Milk. Mix it well then put it in the chiller. We need to put this in the chiller to thicken the cream.

Here's the All Purpose Cream

Condensed Milk

While the Cream is in the chiller, next is for you to prepare the mangoes.
The easiest and fastest way to peel the mango is by using a glass. Here's how I did it.

tada!

Slice the mangoes in thin strips.

When you're done slicing the mangoes, and the cream is thick enough, get your choice of bowl/Pyrex/Tupperware/Glass baking dish where you want to put it in.

Now assemble the ingredients.
First Layer: Graham
First Layer is the crushed graham. To flatten the surface of the crushed graham and evenly distribute it, i used an aluminum foil.

Second layer, put in the cream.
Second Layer: Cream
Third Layer is the sliced Mangoes.
Third Layer: Mangoes
And Next layer will be the Cream again.

Then repeat the First layer of graham, cream, mangoes, and cream. Just repeat the process until you reached the almost top part of your bowl/Pyrex/glass baking dish that you used.

And finally, let it stay in the freezer overnight for best and tasty result! :)

Here's the finished product.

I think this recipe is enough for 4 to 5 persons.
Enjoy eating!♥

Healthy Reminder: Eat Mangoes in moderation. :)

We Conquered Boracay!

BORACAY 2013

Famous for its White, Talcum-fine Sand...

Last July 31, 2013, a dream come true travel destination happened! Yey!
Welcome to...... BORACAY!!!

I traveled together with my boyfriend, my best friend and her husband. My boyfriend and I got the chance to buy a promo ticket in Tigerairways (SEAIR) last February 2013. Piso fair yun and it only costs me Php 304 for two persons from Clark to Kalibo and back to Clark. Super cheap right?!  Lucky us!
In Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA-Clark), we paid Php 150 each for the Terminal Fee.

Our departure from Clark is 3:40 Pm and we arrived in Kalibo International Airport at 4:35pm. Because it's our first time in Boracay, we ask our hotel to arrange for us our airport transfer from Kalibo to Bamboo Beach Resort. Price: Php 1,250 for the two of us. Here is our bus:
From Kalibo International Airport, we traveled 2 hours going to Caticlan Jetty Port. Upon Arriving in Caticlan, nag-change kami ng Bus and we  transferred to their shuttle, di kasi maganda ung panahon, malakas ang hangin kaya maalon, so instead of coming from Caticlan Jetty Port, pumunta kami ng Tabon Port para makarating sa Boracay mas malapit daw kasi ang distance nito compared to jetty port.
We left Tabon Port 7:00pm and we arrive in Boracay Island at 7:10 pm.
Then Finally, Welcome to Boracay na talaga!
Pagbaba ng Boracay Island, Island Star Express have shuttles that drops us off in La Carmela de Boracay in Station 3, from there we walk na going to our hotel - Bamboo Beach Resort and Restaurant. (Hotel Price: Php 3,150 for Premier Suite Room good for 3D/2N for 2pax. We got this deal from www.booking.com)

The next day, me and my boyfriend had an early morning walk to see the beauty of Boracay. And it's really a breathtaking beautiful place! The turquoise water and the fine powdery sand in station 1 is unforgettable!

While walking, sa labas ng hotel, there's a lot of people that will approach you and will offer different water activities. For php 1000/pax, the four of us get to experience 4 different water activities.  Nag- tricycle kami and we went to Bulabog Beach, which is in the other side of the island. nag start kami by trying the "Helmet Diving", then Island Hopping with Snorkeling, FlyFish and ATV. nag start kami ng 9:00 am and we finished all the activities by 2:30 pm.
"Helmet Diving"

"Island Hopping with Snorkeling"

"FlyFish"

"ATV"
My favorite among those 4 activities, 'FlyFish'. ♥ But overall, it was REALLY FUN!
Yung guide namin sa activities told us na ang start ng water activities in Bulabog beach is 8:00 am. So if you like to do some water activities, start din kayo ng maaga. At least may time pa to explore the Island.

After all the activities, we ate our lunch in Andoks and walk again papunta naman sa Willy's Rock.

Willy's Rock is located in Station 1.

Now I know kung bakit mahal ang accommodation in Station 1, kasi this is where hindi masyadong maalon and super fine and white ang sand compared to other stations.

Sa sobrang pagod sa paglalakad at init, we spotted Jonah's Fruitshake. Price check: Php 110 for their best seller "Banana Choco Peanut". and right outside Jonah's, we tried "Chori Burger" - Price: Php 45! I want more Chori Burger!!! Really delish! ♥♥♥

At night, we just tried Deco's. My besfriend tried their La Paz batchoy. It's ok but not the thing that you would want to ask for more.

Our 3rd and last day in Boracay, we just bought pasalubongs. My tip is to walk early in the morning and spot for the tinderas on the side walks. You get to have discount or have additional item pag ikaw ang "Buena Mano" nila.
And I also found this cheaper 'tiangge' beside Victory Divers Bar and Restaurant. Items here is really cheaper than in D Mall.

Time to go home!
We left our hotel at 11:30 am.
Arrived in Caticlan jetty Port at 12:00 nn
Van to Kalibo Airport: 12:30 - 2:00pm ( 1 1/2 travel time)

Here's our fare going back to Kalibo International Airport.
Tricycle from station 3 to Boracay Port: Php 100 ( apat na kaming sakay nun)
CBTMPC Land Transportation (Van plus Boat Ride): Php 200/pax
Boracay Port Terminal Fee: Php 100/pax
Kalibo International Airport Terminal Fee: Php 100/pax

Will surely comeback to this beautiful island!
See you again soon Boracay!

Travelling from Malolos to Diosdado Macapagal International Airport

Travel Guide

Malolos to DMIA
When I booked our ticket going to Kalibo, our departing Airport was Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) which is in Clark, Pampanga. Now the challenge was, I don't know how to commute going to DMIA!!!

So if you're from Malolos, or somewhere here in Bulacan, here's how we made it to DMIA.

From Malolos, go to Central Terminal. This is located beside Puregold Malolos. There you can see commuter vans going to DAU. Fare: Php 90/pax.

Tip: Kung di masyado nagmamadali, pwede sa inyo to. But if you're in a hurry, try nyo na lang mag bus. Victory Liner going to Olangapo will drop you off in Robinsons Starmills Pampanga. From there find a jeep or van going to Dau.

Upon arriving in their terminal in DAU, walk towards Jollibee and you'll find Dau Bus Terminal. Walk again towards the back of the Terminal and you'll find "Clark Airport Lounge".

Go inside and pay for the fare, Php100/pax. The fare is quite expensive, but at least the jeep will drop you exactly in front of DMIA. Di ka na maglalakad ng malayo. Di na rin kasi nila pinupuno yung jeep lalo kung nagmamadali ka. Just tell them what time ang flight mo, para masabihan yung driver when to go.

And now, when arriving in DMIA and would like to go back to Malolos. Paglabas mo ng Arrivals, magtanong ka lang kung saan yung jeep going to DAU. Fare is Php 50/person, this time pinupuno na nila yung jeep. Sabi sakin ng driver, they have jeeps outside DMIA tuwing may dumadating na plane.

They'll drop you off sa Clark Airport Lounge in Dau Bus Terminal.
Walk again papuntang Jollibee where you can see the commuter van terminal going back to Malolos. Php 90/pax Dau to Malolos.

Kung pabalik ka naman ng Manila, from DAU Bus Terminal, just ride a bus going back to Manila.

Hope this blog helped you!
God Bless and have a safe trip!

Appreciate Everything

Love. Life. Blog.

The blogger.

Love is like a rosary, full of mystery! (slam book lang?!)
Life is a gift, so be thankful for it!
Blog is sharing my experiences with you.

happy, topakin, out going, gala or lakwatsera, mahilig sa make ups, loves to eat, that's me.

January 2012 when my life changed. I was diagnosed of having Lymphoma or Cancer of the Lymph Nodes.

At first, sabi ko, bakit ako? Anong nagawa ko para magkaroon ng ganung sakit. Instead of me feeling bad, I prayed and ask God to give me strength and for his healing.
I underwent 8 cycles of chemotherapy. Nalagas buhok ko, nanghina, but my faith strengthens me to fight and continue positively in life. This experience made me realize to appreciate everything that I have. Appreciate and Love the people who's there for me. And most especially, I learned how to pray, really pray. Magdasal gamit ang puso, di ang bibig lang.

Now, I am claiming it, in God's precious hands, I am healed and now a cancer survivor.
I am done with my chemo. And I am now changing to a healthy lifestyle. Mahirap, pero kakayanin. No more junk foods, softdrinks, donuts, tilapia, too much sweets.
I made this blog to help and share to others my Happy, sad, exciting, disappointing, adventurous experiences.

This blog is made to entertain as well as be a source of information that you might need.
I myself needed help and searched the internet for answers, suggestions, etc.
So in return, I will also share mine!  Whether it'll be about, traveling, hotel, food, make ups, and many more!

To my readers, (kung meron man!? :-) Enjoy reading! Hope I helped you with anything you would want to know.

Thank you in advance and God Bless you all!
